Recommended Info for New Clients

Thank you for choosing Green & Clean Lawn Care, we are thrilled to serve you! In order to maximize the results of our service, here are some things you should know:

• Proper watering is essential. Most treatments must be watered in within 24-48 hours of application, please see your invoice for instructions each time. Regular watering with an in ground sprinkler system is ideal. If you do not have an in ground sprinkler system and would like more information on how to get one, please call our office today.

• Proper mowing is essential. During the growing season your lawn should be mowed often enough so as to remove no more than 1/3 of the blade at a time. Any more than that can scar the lawn and cause ugly yellow or brown spots that look dead. This will grow back eventually, but can be unsightly for a long time. If you need a mowing service, please call us today, we would be happy to refer you.

• If you must be called in advance of treatment, please make sure we know the best way to reach you. If you'd like to receive a phone call, please give us the number where you can be most easily reached, or even several numbers. We can also email you or text you (yes, our teenagers taught us how!) If we can't reach you, your treatments may be delayed to the point that weeds and other problems can get out of control.

• Payments-- we always leave your bill on the door, unless you've requested it be mailed to another address. You can simply mail us a check, mail in your credit card info, call us with your credit card payment, or we can keep your credit card number on file. We accept Visa, MC and Discover. You can also prepay for one year and receive a discount, ask us how!

• Got weeds? We want to know about it. But here are some things to keep in mind: --If your lawn has a severe weed problem, you should expect that it will take several treatments before the weeds are fully under control.

  • Grassy weeds may take a full calendar year to eliminate. The reason: most products that control some grassy weeds will also kill your bermuda. Most people elect to "live and let live" until the pre-emergents in fall and spring have time to do their job.

  • If you just got your treatment, wait about a week and see if the weeds are curling up. If after a week you're not seeing any change, give us a call and we'll be happy to come out and take a look. Weeds any time between treatments, let us know. It's what we're here for!
